Justice unions call for demonstration against “the silence” of guardianship

Two unions of justice workers in Angola called for a peaceful demonstration in Luanda on Saturday against "the silence" of the authorities in the face of workers' demands and for the dignification of the judiciary sector.

:

In the summons addressed to the Attorney General's Office (PGR), the National Union of Justice Technicians of the Attorney General's Office (SINTEJA-PGR) and the Union of Justice Operators of Angola (SOJA) question the silence of employers (Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Superior Council of the Judiciary and the PGR) in the face of class problems.

At stake are claims about better working conditions and wages in the courts.

"Thus, as they are fundamental rights (the strike and the demonstration), the first having been fulfilled last November and without success in terms of implementing the different claim books, this time all affiliates are summoned to join the peaceful march en masse" which will start in front of the Dona Ana Joaquina court (Luanda), at 1 pm.

The march, whose motto is "together we dignify the Angolan judiciary" will leave the court towards the Palace of Justice and then the National Assembly, later returning to the starting point.
