Carnival group União Operário Kabocomeu pays homage to Nagrelha

Nagrelha was highlighted in the carnival parade that took to the streets last Sunday, February 19th. The homage to the kudurista was made by the carnival group União Operário Kabocomeu, the 12th that paraded in Luanda's Nova Marginal, in Class B.

"Being a son of Sambizanga, this homage is with great consideration and respect", highlighted the performer and author of the song 'Em homenagem ao Nagrelha', by the aforementioned carnival group, quoted in a note from the Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL), which VerAngola had access.

According to the note, the group performed in kazucuta style, having drawn "standing applause from the spectators and the governor of Luanda, for the homage paid to Nagrelha".

The union "has as its commander Manuel Kilengo, King Eugênio Lázaro, Queen Juma Teixeira", completes the statement.

Positive balance of the first days of Carnival

The Director of the Provincial Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Teresa Tatiana de Morais Mbuta, gave a positive note to the first two days of Carnival.

Cited in another note from the GPL, to which VerAngola had access, the official considered the first two days of Carnival positive, "with the parade of the Child and B adult classes, on Saturday and Sunday, on Avenida Dr. António Agostinho Neto (Nova Marginal)".

This Monday, the carnival party has reserved the parade of 13 groups, in Semba, Dizanga and Cabecinha styles.

In addition, the official also highlighted that "the groups that paraded in Nova Marginal will perform, tomorrow, Tuesday, 21st, in their respective neighborhoods and municipalities, in the street Carnival".
