The revelation comes after Isabel dos Santos, in a statement issued this Thursday, denounced that the freezing of her accounts in Portugal is conditioning the payment of wages to workers.
In a statement to the Eco newspaper, the Portuguese PGR admitted that the possibility of part of the accounts being thawed will be assessed as soon as someone asks for it.
"The susceptibility of making payments of the nature of those referred to is evaluated when requested, within the procedures to the order in which the accounts are frozen," said Lucília Gago, Portuguese PGR, when questioned by the newspaper about the complaint of the businesswoman.
